How It's Calculated
Total projected area = (Part area + Runner area) × Number of cavities
Depth multiplier = 1 + (Part depth − 1) × Depth adjustment  (only applies past 1 in)
Safety multiplier = 1 + (Safety margin ÷ 100)
Required tonnage = Total projected area × Material factor × Depth multiplier × Safety multiplier
