It is a formal program with documented warranty terms, maintenance tracking, service records, and engineering support — giving you clear visibility into what is covered and a structured process for the life of your mold.

MoldGuard™ requires the mold owner to maintain documented maintenance records as a condition of warranty coverage. A structured maintenance plan is provided — the molder must follow it and keep records on file. Warranty coverage is contingent on documented maintenance compliance.

Does MoldGuard™ cover offshore molds?

Yes. Every mold sourced through Brown Tool & Mold’s Global Mold Sourcing program is covered under the same MoldGuard™ warranty terms as a domestically built mold. Brown Tool & Mold stands behind every tool it sources regardless of where it was manufactured.

How do I get the MoldGuard™ program documentation?

What SPI mold classes does MoldGuard™ cover?

BTM MoldGuard™ covers all SPI mold classes from Class 101 through Class 105. The warranty terms are aligned to the agreed mold class at the time of quoting — Class 101 being the highest production life standard and Class 105 covering prototype tooling. Mold class is documented and agreed before any steel is cut.

Does MoldGuard™ include mold maintenance?

MoldGuard™ includes a structured maintenance plan and documentation requirement — the mold owner must follow the maintenance schedule and keep records on file as a condition of warranty coverage. Warranty claims cannot be honored without documented maintenance compliance. Brown Tool & Mold can perform maintenance services when needed, but maintenance is not included in the mold build cost — it is available as a separate service at additional cost. What is the difference between MoldGuard™ and a standard mold warranty?
